On November 6th, 2025, East Islip band students in grades 9-12 attended the annual field trip organized by Mr Tucker and Mr Neske, to the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and The American Dream Mall.
Students watched a two hour relaxed performance of “Rhapsody in Blue.” Michelle Cann played the piano and Tito Munoz was the conductor. After the performance, the students got to spend three hours in the American Dream Mall.

The trip started with a 10:30am bus time. It took around two hours to get to the performance. After the performance, the students then went to the American Dream Mall to shop and eat. The band left the mall around 7:45pm and arrived back at the school at 9:45pm.
Band teacher Mr Tucker said the trip was overall successful.
“The goal of the trip was so that we could have an experience to watch a live concert with professional musicians,” he said.
“I enjoyed the trip,” freshman band student Rylie Meyer said. “I thought the music was very interesting and relaxing; I would like to go on this trip again.”
The entire trip was enjoyed by the students and teachers that went along and people are excited for this trip next year.
