Do you like makeup? Do you ever wonder about the different celebrities who make all the same makeup supplies? Do you ever think maybe people just buy these makeup brands because of their cute packaging?
People always have different opinions on what is best, but some people just buy these makeup (and skincare!) brands because a famous person they like made it and even though some makeup is VERY expensive.
All of these celebrities were just normal people until one day they made it big in singing or acting or even just marrying a famous guy, but now they all went on to create makeup/skincare brands. Obviously their goal is to make more money and get their name out there, but there’s more to it.
The four brands by all different celebs that stand out are Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner, Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez, and Rhode Skin by Hailey Bieber.
Some of the main focus points for these brands are the colors or amount of shades they sell, good coverage, etc., but they are all known for and believe in different things.
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty is known for its inclusive range of foundation shades (50 shades) catering to all skin tones. Rihanna said “[I made this] for women of all shades, personalities, attitudes, cultures, and races. I wanted everyone to feel included. “
Next is Kylie Cosmetics, famous for its lip kits and bold, trendy makeup products. It focuses on creating statement looks with vibrant colors. Popular products she sells are her Kylie Lip Kit, Kylighter, and Kyshadow. She even makes baby soap! She said her goal is “to give my fans access to the makeup products that I love and use every single day to create my looks.”
Next up is Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty which promotes self-acceptance and mental health awareness. It offers lightweight, breathable makeup that enhances natural beauty. Some of her popular products are her Soft Pinch Liquid Blush and Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation. Selena created this makeup so people can see that you can see how beautiful you are with or without makeup because her makeup is very light and airy. “I think Rare Beauty can be more than a beauty brand—it can make an impact,” Gomez said. “I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to each other and just start embracing our own uniqueness.”
And lastly is Hailey Bieber’s “Rhode Skin.”Before I go on and talk about her products… as we know some people don’t buy Rare Beauty because some people still want Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber to get back together and even though that internet drama was such a long time ago, it’s still going on especially ever since Hailey Bieber opened up her own makeup/skincare website. Shoutout that they turned their celebrity into business, etc. She is most known for her Peptide Glazing Fluid (a hydrating serum that gives the skin a dewy, glazed look), Barrier Restore Cream (a rich moisturizer that helps repair and strengthen the skin barrier), and Peptide Lip Treatment which has a phone case to go with it so your lipgloss is always with you, because who would buy the lip gloss without the phone case? You can even fit other products on the Rhode phone case! Hailey Bieber created Rhode because her “journey towards healthier skin inspired me to develop products that really work, in a way that’s accessible to everyone. East Islip Junior Kylie Dickson said “I’ve heard really good things about the Rhode Skincare. I don’t use a lot of her products but I love her blush which stays on all day and her lipgloss I love.”
Even though some want to think these products are only selling because of the celebrity, ALL the makeup and skincare have all good reviews from myself, my friends, and the internet!
