A Picture Perfect Showcase
The art department’s annual Art and Jazz Festival has yet another successful year.
On May 22nd, the high school’s art department showcased the artwork of all its talented students in the annual Art & Jazz Festival. Family, friends, and students all filled the auxiliary gym to walk to the art show, buy a treat from the National Art Honor Society’s bake sale and admire the hard work seniors put into their senior art boards.
“I am so impressed with this year’s group of art students… all art classes did a wonderful job and this showcased all the amazingly talented student artists,” said art teacher Mrs. Toomey.
This year’s Art and Jazz Festival was a huge success in showcasing student’s work in Digital Imaging and Design 1&2, Photography 1&2, Core Art, Studio in Art, Sculpture 1&2, Fashion Illustration 1&2, Drawing and Painting 1&2, AP Art and Design: 2D Design, and AP Art and Design: Drawing from this past school year.
Sophomore Florence Gonzalez said it best: “The art show was great this year and I can’t wait to see it be even better next year!”
