Zombies is a Disney movie franchise that includes all types of monsters such as zombies, werewolves, aliens, vampires, and daywalkers. In the movies, the zombies and other monsters have to deal with new monsters coming into their lives and find a way to make them feel welcome. What makes this franchise unique is that each movie has a lot of songs that move the story along. There are four Zombies movies, and 41 songs in total. Here are some of my favorite songs from the Zombies franchise!
“Dream Come True”
My favorite song is “Dream Come True” which is a song from Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, sung by Freya Skye, who plays Nova and Malachi Barton, who plays Victor. “Dream Come True” is my favorite song because it is like a new version of the song “Someday” from Zombies 1 which was sung by Zed and Addison. Now Zed and Addison are passing the torch on to Nova and Victor and Nova and Victor’s story is starting to become very similar to Zed and Addison’s. This song is about Victor (a vampire) and Nova (a daywalker) having visions of each other and falling in love but the vampires and the daywalkers have hated each other forever. This song is written by Jaheem Toombs and came out in 2025.
“Someday”
My second favorite song is “Someday” which is from Zombies 1, sung by Milo Manheim who plays Zed and Meg Donnelly who plays Addison. “Someday” is my second favorite song because it’s when Addison and Zed start to fall in love. “Someday” is about Addison (a human) hiding in a closet when she turned around and a zombie (Zed) was behind her. She accidentally punched him in the face but then when she saw who he was, she apologized, and they instantly fell in love. Addison and Zed then begin singing the song, saying, “We’re gonna be Someday” and hoping that someday they could be seen as a normal couple.
“It’s teen romance and the song is catchy,” Freshman Ava Lowenstein said.
“My Own Way”
My next favorite song is “My Own Way” from Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, sung by Freya Skye. This is my next favoritesong because Freya Skye has a beautiful voice and I love listening to her sing. “My Own Way” is about Nova becoming an independent person and not listening to her father.
“Alien Invasion”
My next favorite song is “Alien Invasion” from Zombies 3. Alien Invasion is my next favorite song
because at the Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour, the performance and choreography for “Alien Invasion” was amazing and it was a moment I will never forget. Alien Invasion is about Zed getting ready for somebody from Mountain College to come see if he is exceptional and he is hoping to get into Mountain College for football. When the person from Mountain College arrives in Seabrook, a spaceship falls out of the sky and aliens come out.
“Bamm”
My last favorite song is “Bamm” from Zombies 1 sung by Milo Manheim, Meg Donnelly, and Kylee Russel who plays Eliza. Bamm is one of my favorite songs because it is a really upbeat song and it’s fun to listen to. “Bamm” takes place in Zombieland and it is about Zed and Eliza showing Addison what Zombieland is like.
